Our Story
A design house, not a furniture shop
RasaHaus is a contemporary Indian design house. We'd rather you feel “I want to live in this space” than “I am shopping for a sofa” — so we lead with the experience and philosophy of a home, and let the pieces that furnish it follow.

Rasa, meaning essence. Haus, meaning home.
The name takes its first half from the Sanskrit rasa — the emotional and aesthetic impression a work of art leaves behind — and its second from the German haus, a home. Put together, it's a design philosophy as much as a name: a house should carry an essence, not just furniture.
Every piece is designed material-first — solid wood, natural textiles, warm lighting — and given architectural form, shaped by Indian craft. We design pieces to work alongside one another, so a room comes together as a whole, not a collection of unrelated purchases.
That shows up in how we build the site as much as what we put on it: architectural, editorial, warm, tactile — contemporary and Indian, craft-led and quietly luxurious. We'd rather leave something out than reach for a generic template, a loud color, or stock imagery that could belong to any other home brand.

Material-led, craft-led
Solid wood, hand-finished surfaces, natural textiles, and warm lighting run through everything we make — and through the design services and bespoke customization we offer alongside it, for spaces that need something made to fit rather than bought off a shelf.
